Play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in Your Browser

reVCDOS is a browser build of reVC, a community reverse-engineered engine for Vice City. After a takedown request the project changed shape: today the page runs a limited demo or asks you to supply your own game data built from a copy you own. This page is a signpost, not a storefront: we tell you what the project is, how long it takes to load, and what's likely to get in your way. Nothing here is hosted by us. The game belongs to its publisher.

Before you click — about load time

The engine streams first, then the page asks for game data or offers a limited demo. Expect a long first load and a setup step before any gameplay.

Multiplayer and friends

[NONE]

Single-player only in this browser build.

Known issues and rough edges

  • You hit a data prompt before gameplay: supply your own files or use the limited demo.
  • First load pulls a large engine payload — several minutes on slow Wi-Fi.
  • Cloud saves use a third-party key system we can't vouch for.

Frequently asked questions

Is this version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City made by the publisher?

No — reVCDOS (DOS.Zone) is an unofficial fan project. We don't host any game files and don't endorse it. Whether a specific community build is lawful where you live isn't something we can rule on for you — check what the rights holder says about fan projects in your country.

Do I need to download or install anything?

The point of a browser version is that you don't. If a page asks you to install a browser extension, a launcher or a game client to play something that claims to be in-browser, close the tab and find another link.

Why does a site ask for a survey or my email?

Some community projects run ad-network or survey walls to stay online. We can't control that. Don't enter payment details, and don't reuse a real password anywhere.

Does it work offline?

No. Browser projects stream from the project's own server, which means they stop working if that project goes offline or changes domain. That's why we keep the last-checked date on the card.

Can I put this game on my own site?

Linking here is fine. Copying assets, artwork or game files is not — this directory is for outbound links only, not redistribution.
